Quality, quality, quality!

Here are some guidelines and image specifications for getting your work onto Stock:

The illustrations must be excellently illustrated

Relevant & topical subjects

Quality control: only original scan or created files can go live. Any additional interpolation or size increase (to reach a higher file size) will lead to rejection as images will be pixelated/blurry

The correct size, as stated below

-High resolution; The Illustrations must have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi at 8 x 12 inch or 29cm x 21cm (DIN-A4-format). If possible a resolution of 300 dpi at 12 x 16 inch (DIN-A3-format) or 42cm x 29.7cm is preferred.

-Please ensure images have about a 5000 pixel dimension.

-Please upload raster-based images (vector-based images have to be rasterised).

-It's possible to upload .tiff and .psd files (Photoshop files have to be reduced to background/one single layer). Our system will then convert these to .jpeg files, so please avoid uploading .jpegs as they will be 'doubled' which may turn it pink or lower the quality of the image.

-Please upload in RGB only, uploading CMYK causes problems.

-Please do not upload photographs of images; the final upload will be the image clients purchase and cannot be low quality.

There are no single or repetitive fees to use the website. Once you join Stock, you may upload your hi-res images directly onto the site for clients to view and purchase. You are never charged for anything and will always retain copyright.

no exclusive contract...

When you join StockIllustrations, you will not be bound to sell your images with us only, you are free to market you stock images on other, self-managed websites*.

no image upload limit...

We encourage you to upload as many of your illustrations as possible, so that they can be shared with our clients. The more stock you have on the site and with proper keywording, the more interest your images will attract.

no risk at all...

You will have control of your stock images and you will always retain copyright. We are simply an e-commerce platform for you to sell your images. We appreciate that creators’ rights are vital to creativity and culture, thus we protect our illustrators accordingly, you will never find your creative accomplishment to be improperly remunerated on StockIllustrations.

We have a lot of pooled experience in the representation and stock library business to make it work for you. We are here to help produce an ideal marketing vehicle to sell your images to a range of recipients such as advertising agencies, publishers and also industrial and new media companies.

We are here any time you wish to contact us, on email and telephone. We sort all the paperwork upon a sale, collect payment and in turn pay you with Paypal.

If you should experience any technical problems with your images, let us know and we will do our utmost to fix the problem. We want to represent you in the best light, so will do our utmost to ensure everything is always functioning smoothly on the website.

We use PayPal for purchases and payment. It is 100% secure and all we need is an email address from our illustrators, so we can pay you.

money matters...

For each of your images sold, the net income received by StockIllustrations.com is split 50/50.

Custom illustrations: we will pass any enquiries for bespoke commissions on to you and the fees are 100% yours, unless you ask us to handle the commission (the fee and licence, territory and term negotiations, the invoicing and the ever important money collection). In this case, a one-off representative contract would be signed and we would take a 17.5% + vat commission on the gross fee.

*Such as the iSpot (i.e. non exclusive sites). We will discuss any interest for the exclusive sale of one of your images with you first, and you are under no obligation to agree.
